Jovani Reddy Chinniah (Moderator)

Managing Partner, Jovani & Co

Jovani Reddy Chinniah is a Licensed Auditor, accredited by the Ministry of Finance. She is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a qualified member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). Jovani holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Finance, Accounting, and Management from the University of Nottingham.

In addition to her professional qualifications, Jovani is a globally recognised Fraud Examiner and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia (CMIIA). She is also an authorised training employer for ICAEW, actively contributing to the development of future accounting professionals.

Arina Kok

Asia-Pacific Climate Change Advisory Leader; Asean Climate Change and Sustainability Services Co-Leader; Malaysia Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) Leader; and Partner, Ernst & Young Consulting Sdn Bhd

Arina is a Partner, Malaysia Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) Leader, Asia-Pacific Climate Change Advisory Leader, Asean Climate Change and Sustainability Services Co-Leader at Ernst & Young Consulting Sdn Bhd.

She assists clients integrate sustainability into their long-term strategic and operational plans, creating lasting value, enhancing their reputation and build public trust. Her expertise lies primarily in sustainability consulting, ESG strategy, due diligence, framework development, outcome measurement and stakeholder management.

Under her leadership, EY released the inaugural Climate Risk Disclosure Barometer 2020 Malaysia. In 2020, 2022 and 2023, she supported the Joint Committee for Climate Change (JC3) of Bank Negara Malaysia and the Securities Commission Malaysia by facilitating capability-building workshops under the UK Prosperity Fund’s ASEAN Low Carbon Energy Programme.

She has also engaged in discussions with the Ministry of Environment and Water, Bursa Malaysia and the Securities Commission Malaysia regarding green and social policies and standards for the country.

Navina Balasingam

General Manager, Capital Markets Malaysia

Navina is currently General Manager of Capital Markets Malaysia (CMM), an affiliate of the Securities Commission Malaysia mandated with promoting Malaysia’s capital market both domestically and internationally. Navina joined CMM in 2017, with expertise in international stakeholder management and communications.

In her current role, Navina focuses on stakeholder engagement with capital market regulators and intermediaries, both domestic and foreign, to support the development and profiling of Malaysia’s capital market. She also oversees content development for CMM’s programmes and engagements, which prioritise sustainable finance and investment, the private markets, digital markets as well as the Islamic capital market.

Navina leads the secretariat of the three CMM-led centres of excellence – the Malaysian Sustainable Finance Initiative, the Centre for Sustainable Corporations and the Sustainable Investment Platform and is a member of the Steering Committee of the UNDP Financial Centres for Sustainability.

Dr. Syid Ayob Syid Mustafa Al-Qudri

CEO, Eskayvie Sdn Bhd

Dr Syid is a respected medical expert with over 30 years of experience in modern, alternative and anti-aging medicine. Renowned for his forward-thinking and innovative approach, he has developed high-quality health products that have achieved both local and international recognition.

His background combines clinical expertise with strategic leadership, enabling him to steer companies toward sustainable growth and profitability. Beyond his medical practice, Dr. Syid is a prolific speaker, writer and media personality who has dedicated his career to advancing public knowledge in health and wellness. His work also extends to philanthropy through the Eskayvie Foundation, a non-profit initiative he leads to support vulnerable communities.

Chiam Pei Pei (Moderator)

Executive Director, Technical, MICPA

Chiam Pei Pei is the Executive Director of The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), where she leads the technical department and drives strategic initiatives. She advises committees on key issues impacting the profession and champions professional development to enhance accountants’ competencies. Her role includes supporting executive leadership and council with expert insight on financial and technical matters.

Previously, Pei Pei was an advisory consultant at Deloitte, focusing on sustainability and integrated reporting. At the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), she led initiatives across sustainability, intergrated reporting, governance, ethics, and valuations, regulatory matters working closely with regulators and international bodies. She also served as an investigator and practice reviewer, identifying audit deficiencies of practitioners.

Pei Pei began her career in international firms as an auditor. She is a Chartered Accountant and a member of MICPA, CPA Australia, and MIA.

Koh Ree Nie

Audit Partner, KPMG PLT, Malaysia

Koh Ree Nie is a Partner of KPMG PLT, specialising in audit and assurance in various industries including construction and property development, plantation, hotel and hospitality, manufacturing, industrial products, trading, investment holding companies, oil and gas. Ree Nie has over 20 years of experience in KPMG Malaysia and is currently leading the ESG assurance and has a strong focus on financial reporting and sustainability standards. She has also been involved in various corporate exercises and reviews of prospective financial information including share valuations, profit forecasts, due diligence reviews, IPOs and rights issues.

Nik Shahrizal Sulaiman

Risk Services Partner at PwC Malaysia

Nik Shahrizal, a Partner in Risk Services at PwC Malaysia brings over two decades of expertise in assurance and business advisory, focusing on audit, sustainability, governance, risk management, and compliance. Since joining PwC Malaysia in 2007, Nik has been instrumental in providing business advisory services to clients, driving business strategy and ensuring corporate governance excellence.

Prior to his tenure at PwC, Nik gained invaluable experience in the United Kingdom at Morgan Stanley Investment Bank as an internal auditor specialising in institutional securities and financial risk management, and at KPMG London as an auditor for the financial services sector. These roles equipped him with deep knowledge in governance, strategy, internal controls, and regulatory compliance – expertise he now leverages for his clients.

Nik’s educational background includes an MBA from the University of Cambridge and professional qualifications in chartered accountancy (ICAEW), investments (CFA), risk management (FRM), and treasury (PKMC). He is highly passionate about mentoring and educational activities, participating in numerous mentoring programmes across the country to inspire the next generation of professionals.
